Partners

There are three partners, all of whom originally trained with Thomas Bond and Partners.

All partners and optometrists take an active interest in continuing education and training and are members of the local optical society.

Robert Blane (BSc MCOptom DCLP) having qualified in 1968 is the longest serving partner.

He holds the Diploma in Contact Lens Practice, and is a member of the North East Contact Lens Society. He is also a keen swimmer, and keeps fit exercising two energetic dogs.

Tom Klima  (BSC MCOptom DCLP) is a past committee member of the General Optical Council.

For many years he was one of the prime movers in managing to set up the Nottingham Diabetic Retinopathy Monitoring Scheme. He manages the firm's workshop, and is concerned with clinical governance matter.

Liz Whitmore (MSc MCOptom) has a special interest in glaucoma shared care at the Queens Medical Centre.

Her MSc covered specialist subjects in pathology, children’s vision and contact lenses. She is involved in managing the staff training program within the partnership. Hobbies include Hovawart dogs, and attempting to train them.

Optometrists

Tom Bond, the founder of the partnership and his daughter Jen Chilton still practice as consultant optometrists within the firm.

Joy Neely is highly regarded by her patients, and during her 20 years with the partnership has built up an extremely loyal following who value her expertise and attention to detail.

There are also two other qualified optometrists Lesley Cree  and Emma Curry.
