Partners
There
are three
partners,
all
of
whom
originally
trained
with
Thomas
Bond
and
Partners.
All
partners
and
optometrists
take
an
active
interest
in
continuing
education
and
training
and
are
members
of
the
local
optical
society.

Robert
Blane (BSc MCOptom DCLP) having qualified in 1968 is the longest
serving partner.
He
holds the Diploma in Contact Lens Practice, and is a member of the
North East Contact Lens Society. He is also a keen swimmer, and
keeps fit exercising two energetic dogs.

Tom
Klima (BSC MCOptom
DCLP) is a past committee member of the General Optical Council.
For
many years he was one of the prime movers in managing to set up
the Nottingham Diabetic Retinopathy Monitoring Scheme. He manages
the firm's workshop, and is concerned with clinical governance
matter.

Liz
Whitmore (MSc MCOptom) has a special interest in glaucoma shared
care at the Queens Medical Centre.
Her
MSc covered specialist subjects in pathology, children’s vision
and contact lenses. She is involved in managing the staff training
program within the partnership. Hobbies include Hovawart dogs,
and attempting to train them.

Optometrists
Tom
Bond,
the
founder
of
the
partnership
and his
daughter Jen
Chilton
still practice
as
consultant optometrists within the firm.
Joy
Neely
is
highly
regarded
by
her
patients,
and
during
her 20 years
with
the
partnership
has
built
up
an
extremely
loyal
following
who
value
her
expertise
and
attention
to
detail.
There
are also two other qualified optometrists Lesley Cree and Emma
Curry.
Dispensing
Opticians
We
have five
fully
qualified
dispensing
opticians:
Alan
Green,
Mark
Swaby,
Vicky
Hanbury,
Niamh Pearce and Katie Blane.

There
are

other
members
of
staff,
including
frame
stylists,
optical
assistants,
receptionists,
optical
workshop
technicians,
and
admin
staff.
