It is a good idea to have your retinas photographed when you have your sight test.
This is a good way of checking and recording the health of the retina. It enables us to detect eye disease earlier and to monitor changes.
The images are stored electronically and can be compared with photos taken at a later date.
If you would like us to photograph your retinas please let us know at the time of making your appointment or when you come in for your sight test.
Retinal photography is not part of an NHS sight test, there is a £12 charge for this service.
